The Clay Riddell Community
Hero Scholarship
The Clay Riddell Community Hero Scholarship was created in 2019 to honour youth who exemplify the traits Mr. Riddell lived by – leadership, integrity and generosity. The award is given annually to up to three youth heroes that demonstrate community involvement through a Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink participating charity. Recipients will be invited to attend and be publicly recognized at this year’s Rogers Charity Classic.
Up to three awards valued at $8,500 to $10,000, applied directly to tuition. $8,500 for diploma programs and $10,000 for degree programs.
The applicant must:Â
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Be graduating Grade 12 this year and entering first year of a full-time diploma or degree program at a Canadian post-secondary institution within one year of receiving the scholarship.
- Demonstrate community involvement through a 2025 Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink participating charity.
- Demonstrate the traits of leadership, integrity and generosity.
- Provide a reference letter from a representative of a 2025 Rogers Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink participating charity.
- Demonstrate good academic standing (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 2.7 or 70%).
